  1. Induction of new learners is well planned and effective.

  2. Assessment  decisions are fair and consistent  -  Individual assessors apply the same standards.

  3. Learners complete their qualification within eighteen months of starting.

  4. People within our organisation are positive about the NVQ process.

  5. We hold regular communications meetings with our assessors and IV team.

  6. Learners are given regular, high quality support, they know who to contact if they have a problem.

  7. Our paperwork is simple and straight forward, everyone understands what is required.

  8. Internal Quality Assurance is respected as being fair and rigorous.

  9. Learners' records are kept up to date.

  10. Workplace observation is used frequently and effectively.

  11. The links between training to do a job and NVQ progression and achievement are well integrated.

  12. Learners have personal training records which can be used in support of NVQ portfolio building.

  13. Learners based at remote locations are given adequate access to advice and assessment.

  14. We have good relationships with our External Verifier and Awarding Body.

  15. Our learner support packs are written in plain English.   

  16. We have an equal opportunities policy which ensures everyone has access to qualifications.

  17. We are given sufficient resources to support the processes.

  18. Senior Management openly supports the achievement of NVQs.

  19. Successes are celebrated and publicised.

  20. CPD of Centre staff is well planned and implemented.
